Monoprint on paper, made with cut acetate, inked and printed up
This image is of my house and studio in the Alps in France. In the winter we have at least a metre of snow in the garden. The final image has a Japanese woodblock feel, which is entirely coincidental, but one I like very much. I lived for 2 years in Japan in my 20s, and I love Japanese artworks. I like to think that I imbibed some of this while I was in Japan, and it emerged in this print.
