Original artwork description:

This sculpture made in solid resin marble compound, reflects an image of an instant, and at the same time the importance in sculpture of the handling of volumes. Curves, some straight lines, angles and highly polished surfaces, show the figure of a reclining woman, in an almost abstraction. There is no detail but the attitude and form are clearly distinguishable. The sculpture should be soft at the touch, that is to say, it should be possible to move through it with the eye as well as with the touch. There are no elements that compete with the intention of a pure form, and the passive attitude of the figure, which almost withdraws into itself, meditates, thinks and lives. Its purity is further emphasized by the almost marble-white color, which comes from the mixture of the materials used. It is a very important piece for me, perhaps because this line of work, taken almost to abstraction, has been attracting my attention for some time.
Nothing is superfluous in this piece, even if it lacks details, it contains everything essential to see the idea.

Materials used:

resin marble powder, acrylics
