This is one for all ice-cream lovers! It was painted en plein air in Rovinj, or to give its Italian name, Rovigno, on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, just across the water from Venice. I passed this ice cream parlour on my daily walks along the colourful promenade and one day, I couldn't resist setting up my easel to paint it nestling among the neighbouring buildings. Of course this attracted quite a lot of attention from passing tourists and customers of the Gelateria and the manager came out and brought me an ice-cream! So inspiring!
"La Gelateria" was painted en plein air in beautiful Rovinj, Croatia on high quality watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes in a warm white mount to fit a standard size frame of 50x70cm.
