Original artwork description:

In the tarot deck, the Strength card represents courage linked to a concept of dominion. Traditionally, it is depicted as a woman holding open the mouth of a lion. In my interpretation, the element to face isn't the lion itself, but a shadow, a darkness that permeates the background of the composition.
I aimed for the image of strength not to represent dominion, but rather the ability to confront and accept our humanity, symbolized by a tear.

This drawing is part of a series I titled "Playful fusions." They are drawings that blossom from a daily practice, including 25 minutes of drawing early in the morning before starting the day. They arise from instinctive gestures, not from defined projects. In these drawings, therefore, lines and strokes can be crooked. Some are inspired by tarot cards.
Like others in the same series, this is a drawing made on smooth sketch paper, 120g, with rounded lower corners and finished with a quality passepartout. The drawing is sold already mounted in its passepartout.
