"La cathédrale", acrylic on paper, 13,5X13,5cm
"La cathédrale" is part of my series of small paintings on paper "Pure abstract".
Very gestural, made with acrylic in an intuitive way, this small abstract, plays with the pictural language : colors, forms and shapes, graphism, lines.
For this piece, I thought about Victor Hugo's drawings, his nightmare's architectures, his book Notre Dame de Paris, romanticism, the dramatism of the true romantic style, which is the antithesis of classicism.
This small piece found a sad echo to the events of of April 2019.
The artwork is sold UNFRAMED.
The painting will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. Shipping carefully packed and tracked.
