Original artwork description:

This Acrylic on 300gsm paper Painting is a view of the very beautiful Kumamoto Castle in Kyushu. It was done over 3 early morning sessions from my Hotel room in Kumamoto. I was very fortunate to have this great view across the city to the Castle and would get up before breakfast each day to try to capture it in the early morning light. My wife and I visited at this time to see the beautiful Sakura blossoms and you can see some of the pink flowers near the castle. It is a very beautiful and magical time of year when the Japanese celebrate the changing of the seasons, re-birth and the fragility of life. This is represented by the Sakura tree that blossoms with bright pink and white flowers for around two weeks as Spring arrives. The Japanese love to picnic under these trees with friends and families and it is a very special experience to see and be a part of. I built up this painting using thin layers of Acrylic paint that gradually got thicker as the painting evolved.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
