“Koi Pond” was created alongside its sister painting, “Cosmic Cloud” ( shown in photos). These original paintings feature light, water and movement, while echoing the cosmic. I wanted to parallel both water and the cosmos; exploring the mystery of the unknown, the gravity-less, suspended nature, in an abstract representation.
While the koi swims underwater, we swim in parallel universe of discovery that awaits: the cosmic.
Painted on 18x24” canvas with layers of acrylic. Framed with Maple floater frame.
