This Ink and Acrylic on 300gsm Watercolour Paper painting is a view of the very busy Koahsiung Port. It is the largest city in southern Taiwan, and as you can probably tell from the picture, it is a very busy Port with lots of international imports and exports coming through here. In the background of the picture you can see numerous large cargo ships waiting out at sea to enter the port. Even though it is so busy, the colour of the water is still a very beautiful deep blue. The weather was bright, hot and hazy during our stay as Koahsiung has quite a lot of pollution problems from the local factories. This mixed-media piece was drawn and painted over four mornings from Room 3919 of the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel. This was a very interesting challenge to try to capture all the changing details and hustle and bustle of this huge port.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
