Original artwork description:

One of the strongest visual memories I have is swimming in the Gulf of Thailand. In order to reach the area where the sea floor drops like an underwater cliff, we had to swim past sea urchins, coral reefs and sea cucumbers that were inches from our bodies, so we were as flat and close to the surface as possible. After a minute of this challenge, we were presented with a very welcome and breath-taking 360 degree view of clear blue water. It is one of the most scary, stressful yet beautiful experiences I have ever had and I wanted to recreate that visual in a painting.

I have painted layers of a fluid gloss medium with Cerulean Blue Genuine acrylic paint which was washed over a white and green base to create movement of the water and reflections from the beaming sun.

This is a very large striking painting that will look good in any home or business space. The sides of the painting are painted black in order to give a finished look without the need of a frame. If you wish to frame it, that is entirely up to you :)
