Original artwork description:

This drawing is one in a series of ten pastel works on paper that explore the tactile quality of interwoven forms, creating a visual dialogue between soft curves and sharp, angular intersections. The earthy toned palette enhances the focus on form, texture and the composition's structural foundation. Influenced by mid-century graphics and modern art–as well as the organic complexity of fiber arts, such as weaving and braiding, which informs the tangled patterns.
Each artwork in the series is named for a type of popular hair braid; this piece is titled Milkmaid. A contemplation on the intricate connections that bind elements together, whether they be strands of hair, cables, or abstract lines. The works explore a balance between chaos and order, asking the viewer to seek out beauty within complexity and the elegance of entanglement. By focusing on the nuances of intertwined forms, the series reveals the underlying harmony in what might initially appear as disarray, celebrating the artistry in the connections that unify disparate elements.

The paper is a natural tan color, thick 250g, acid free, archival quality.
Artwork is initialed on the back.
This artwork on paper is not ready to hang. A frame is negotiable on request (please use the contact form) otherwise the artwork will be shipped well protected and flat in a box.
