This painting has a reference yo to the japanese technique of kintsugi, the practise of of repairing ceramics fractures with varnish or gold dusted resina. The kintsugi is silent and overt Only to trace a painful incident with gold dust is to accept it as a jewelThis painting is an homage to this japanesse technique of Kentsugi that highlights the imperfections in gold during the repair work so that they can be seen and thus give the object a new life
It also has a reference to the Gestalt theory of the inner child
