A large contemporary Scottish river landscape painting of a tree lined river at sunset, inspired by the river scenery of of Glen Shiel Kintail
In this atmospheric impressionist landscape scene I have tried to portray the stillness and tranquility of the red sunset scene with a view of a tree lined river in the highlands of Scotland. Painted in muted muted autumnal red ochre and grey colours.

Painted in a contemporary semi abstract impressionistic style with a palette knife and fingers using a unique textural technique that allows the colours of the under-painting to show through the top layers.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 39" x 39" (98 x 98cm) canvas mounted on board, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame ready to hang.
