Artwork description:

A large linocut of the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, Japan. The temple is partially obscured by the island pines. The trees and temple reflect in the surrounding rippling lake.

A reduction lino print is formed with several layers of colour which are cut and printed from the same block of lino. I print all of my work by hand, in very limited editions. Small variations do occur between them but this just serves to make each individual print truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom.

As this artwork is large, it will be shipped wrapped in polythene, then rolled and surrounded with bubble wrap and placed into a strong triangular cardboard postal tube. The artwork is best unrolled and stored flat in it's protective polythene once it is received. The paper is very thick so any curve from the rolling will fall out in time. If a slight curve does remain, this can easily be flattened once the work is framed.
