Original artwork description:

If you are lucky enough you'll catch a glimpse of the beautiful kingfisher down by the river. I hope I've captured some of his quiet nature in this canvas.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
