What is DSWF?
DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year is a prestigious annual wildlife art competition. Founded by David Shepherd over 10 years ago, the competition attracts artists from all over the world and showcases some of the finest and most exciting wildlife art whilst at the same time raising vital awareness and funds for the endangered wildlife that DSWF works so hard to protect.
Bringing together myriad forms and media, the 2018 shortlist will be exhibited for sale at the Mall Galleries, London SW1 between 2nd May – 6th May (Private Preview 1st May).
Every entry, and proceeds from all sales, supports our work to that fight wildlife crime, protect endangered species, and engage local communities in Africa and Asia.

Another watercolour Kingfisher in my collection. This time for change I went for hot pressed paper (less textured) which allows to blend the colours more smoothly on the paper which creates great transitions and different shades.
This is an original watercolour painting of a "Kingfisher". For this painting I have used a top quality Fabriano Artistico Paper and High grade professional Winsor and Newton paints which guarantee extra durability and colour protection.
11×15″ Fabriano Artistico Paper (300gsm). Professional Winsor and Newton paints
