Original artwork description:

King Fisher Romance is a large contemporary landscape oil painting of two kingfishers flying along a river. It is 36x60x1.5 inches with white edges, ready to hang. From the right, a female kingfisher flies towards a male who is rising out of the river to meet her. There are trees and golden light emanating through the trees on the opposite bank and lots of wildflowers with sinuous art nouveau style lines and shapes. It is semi abstract and extremely vibrant in colour. The inspiration for the painting was a kingfisher I saw along the riverbank at Fordcombe near Tunbridge Wells this summer. It was only the second one I have seen and it is like seeing a feathered jewel. The river is quite narrow and almost hard to see in places when the summer reeds and flowers line the banks. River walks are a common inspiration for me as they are timeless and quite magical if you find the right places. If you want to see the spot, go to postcode TN3 0SP and walk east along the river
