This oil painting on canvas was inspired by japonisme, which was popular in 19th century - it is one of my favorite subjects. I concentrated on bright colors , expression on girls face and interesting form of her hair and robe. I also used limited palette, as you see - indigo, red, violet, gold and bronze. I just LOVE to see different shades of red and gold while painting. Bright colors and shiny pigments bring excitement to the eye.
