‘Kiku I’ is a commission piece made for a high end producer of product labels, to showcase their packaging and label printing capabilities.
The brief was to design artwork for an imaginary brand of Japanese Matcha Tea.
I incorporated the Japanese national flower, the Kiku flower (the chrysanthemum), which symbolises transformation, longevity, and rejuvenation.
This polymere etching is hand pulled in a limited edition of 25 copies on 300 grams Hahnemühle etching paper.
