This original stone sculpture on beautiful oak wood stand is one of the latest artworks of the talented professional Bulgarian sculptor Rasho Mitev, deeply inspired by modernism, impressionistic portraiture and neoclassicism. It is an amazing portrait of the Bulgarian khan Asparuh, the founder of the medieval Bulgarian state in 681 AD. He led one of the Bulgar tribes west to the Danubian delta where he laid the foundations of the Bulgarian state, which was to survive for thirteen centuries. The sculptural portraiture is one extraordinary valuable art object and exquisite modern home décor.
