Part of a series of 4 Cyanotypes inspired by Virginia Woolf’s short story, Kew Gardens. There is a snail that appears in the story, who observes what goes on in the garden. The snail appears in all 4 Cyanotypes. The cyanotype is created using vintage photos or postcards and modern day photos, by cutting and sticking the negatives together and exposing them in sunlight on paper treated with photosensitive solution. Once the prints were dry I tinted them by placing them in a strong green tea solution which darkens the Prussian Blue colour.
The print comes with a custom made mount.
