I chose the title of this painting because I love the positioning of the two sheep's faces in relation to one another. This piece of work celebrates my enduring love of formal gardens full of topiary and of the incongruity of the sheep being placed in an unexpected environment. I see a visual correlation between the textures of the topiary and the sheep's woolly fleece but love that they are actually so very different to the touch. The painting is unframed on box canvas with painted sides.
