In this piece, I've submerged myself in an exploration of emotion through abstraction and symbolism. I used wax and oil paints to layer textures, suggesting the depth and complexity of human feelings. The stark contrast between the pure, dripping white and the intense splash of red emphasizes a moment of emotional eruption—touching on themes of vulnerability and the overwhelming nature of our inner experiences. This artwork invites viewers into a metaphysical dialogue on the rawness of human emotion, adding a profound energy to any space.
It's an encaustic abstract painting over a hardboard panel. The painting size is 53.5 x 70 x 3.5 cm.. Encaustic is a wax based paint composed of beeswax, damar resin for elasticity and pigment or oil paint, which is kept molten on a heated palette. When It's applied to the surface with brushes then it's reheated again in order to fuse the paint, bringing the colors into a harmonious composition.
