This is the latest of my paintings in my Junk Food series which is dedicated to the great variety of colour ( if not taste) of modern processed junk food. Often criticized for its lack of nutritional value but cherished by most of us for its cool aspect and practicality, especially for dwellers of big cities.
This picture shows four emblematic pieces of junk food ( with a very American bias though I am French) all ready to be eaten up and enjoyed, both visually and for their flavour as well.
It is painted on a rather thin panel ( but very sturdy and flexible) which I intended for making studies but which ended up becoming a full-blown painting of its own.
It is meant to be framed because it cannot be hung like an (un)framed canvas.
Painted in oils ( Old Holland / Archival quality) the work's measurement are: 60x80 cm. It would look great in a dining- room or a restaurant but can be hung anywhere obviously.
