This 12x12 oil painting on linen captures roses from my garden as I arranged them one day last June. Painting blue and white vases, especially Chinese or Japanese porcelain vases, along with flowers, may be sentimental, yet the scene in late afternoon light was quite lovely, caught, at first by my camera, then painted in dreary November. Signed and dated in verso, this painting is framed in a gold plein air frame (wood), that brings the overall dimensions to 17x17 (43x43 cm). Clear-coated in archival artist-grade varnish for protection against dust and abrasion, this work ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
