Two people are jumping into a river in this picture which has a yacht in the distance.
This original limited edition Linocut print uses one piece of lino which is progressively cut and printed, called a Reduction Linocut. Reduction linocut is a method of block printing in which each colour layer is carved into the same lino block. Part of the design is carved into the block and printed. The process is then repeated for each layer of colour.
The print uses selective wiping and other techniques to produce the particular result required. Thus the edition cannot ever be exactly reproduced.
Drusilla prints these linocuts in her studio in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, UK
Please note these are not digital prints and are made by hand individually. Any occasional inapt specks of ink are as a result of the process.
