With a playful wink at life, this cheerful jester balances on a colorful sphere, holding a four-leaf clover—a symbol of hope and good spirits. Between fantasy and reality, he reminds us that happiness is often just a matter of perspective.

For this clown’s outfit, I used a new red glaze with special effects. The glaze contains tiny specks that melt during firing in the kiln, creating the appearance of multicolored drops.
