Original artwork description:
Inspired by the sweetpeas I managed to grow for the first time, this collage is made from acrylic paint and monoprints. The monoprints are made in batches without any idea of what they made be used for. When I have an idea for an image I search through my collections of prints, papers and sometimes textile fragments, for those which may be useful and then cut or tear them into various shapes. The image develops as I work with the materials chosen and is glued to the support which sometimes has an acrylic background painted on to it. The collage is varnished and supplied in a narrow white, unglazed frame.
