"Joy of Maui 4" is a vibrant acrylic painting on canvas that captures the mesmerizing beauty of the Rainbow Eucalyptus trees in the lush rainforests of Maui. Inspired by the fascinating history of the Rainbow Eucalyptus in Hawaiʻi, particularly its introduction to the rainforest of Hana in the 1930s as a part of reforestation efforts, the painting is a celebration of the tropical paradise. The focal point of the artwork is drawn from the most well-known grove of Rainbow Eucalyptus along the Hana Highway, near mile marker 7. However, the artist also incorporates the scattered beauty of these trees at other locations, such as Ke’anae Arboretum and spots just before Hana town.
