In this watercolor painting you can see the delicate form of a woman’s body, basking in the sunlight. Although the figure is unclothed, the composition maintains a sense of modesty; the face is obscured, and intimate details are subtly concealed. What is revealed, however, are her hands, her lips, and the way the sun caresses her skin, making it glow with radiant warmth.

The central theme of this artwork is to capture the essence of sunlight on the skin—its glow, its scent, and the comforting sensation of warmth. This piece showcases a technique known as glazing. The initial layer is rendered in burnt umber, establishing profound shadows and rich, dark tones. Subsequent layers introduce vibrant colors, particularly ultramarine, creating a painting of remarkable depth and intensity.

The painting exudes a deep, rich hue, characterized by intense shadows and luminous colors. Remarkably, there is no black used in this composition. The illusion of darkness is masterfully achieved through the interplay of glowing colors.
