Original artwork description:

My first painting which started my investigations into this style of work which combines different types of work I have done in the past. It began with a drawing using conte crayon, layered with liquid acrylic, maps and then details added with acrylic and artist marker.

It is a personal journey through different phases of my life. Our lives are layered. We live and carry on. Some things from our past continue to be evident in our current place in time and other things fade into the background but they are all there.

This piece hangs like a scroll. You can see the "framing" method I used in the detailed images. The painting is sandwiched between 2 pieces of wood on top and on the bottom. I can remove the bars so you can frame to your liking.

Sealed with UV protectors.

Materials used:

acrylic, conte crayon, artist pen, maps
