Original artwork description:

The delicious smell of mandarins instantly takes me back to growing up in the inner suburbs of Adelaide where everyone had fruit trees including
mandarins, oranges, apricots, plums and peaches.
With the arrival of Italian and Greek migrants in the 60’s came the fig, persimmon and olive trees.
This abundance of fruit also resulted in much preserving and jam making.
