Religious painting of Lord Vitthala from Indian mythology. Inspired to paint this on the auspicious day of Ashadi Ekadashi.
It is believed that Lord Vishnu goes into sleep in Ksheersagar on this day and after four months on Prabodhini Ekadashi, he wakes up. The holy period of 4 months as per Hindu calendar - Chaturmas - begins from this day.
Thousands of devotees throng to Pandharpur to worship Lord Vishnu. However this year, the devotees have to seek blessings from their home and hearts instead of the temple. May Lord Vishnu work his miracles to cure this world.
