Original artwork description:

Acrylic colours on raw Fabriano Rosaspina paper 285gm. 27.75 x 19.75 in., 70.5 x 50cm.
In non covid times It’s just a hop and a skip for me to go to Bangkok from where I reside, and I travel there regularly for my orchid hobby biz, and just for a change of scene. It’s a busy city and for the few days I’m there I collect photos of my little adventures and outings. Slowly I want to turn these into paintings. This is from one of those magical encounter. This lady, Nika, had rescued this cockatoo bird from a poor care situation. The lively colours I used may reflect how I was inspired at the sight of this wonderful bird. Oh but how difficult to capture accurately on photo the bright fluorescence in the pink colour I used for this painting...
The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress.
Interested to have your idea painted in this style? Maybe a storyboard collage from a recent travel or event, portrait? Contact me.
