Recently I watched a Youtube video where the creator joked about Jesus and from there I came to the conclusion there aren’t enough Jesus paintings. All the actual Jesus paintings I’ve seen are from the 1400’s and earlier, I also wanted him to be a hippy, so the new owner can be in a mood then look over at the artwork and think “What would Jesus do?”… This Jesus.

While creating the artwork I learnt that there are sects of religions that follow the bible who allow icons and some that don’t. Then I went a step further for a new artwork to visit a few different religious places of worship and found that some religions take it seriously and other just say they don’t have icons, but seem to have them there in plain sight.

So this is an artwork for the Jesus lovers who allow icons and want a real artwork, made with love and definitely not a print (prints of paintings… my own personal form of blasphemy).

This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
