Painted on-site at the Japanese Iris Garden of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Features Japanese Iris flowers in shades of Purple, Magenta, Lavender & White, against a wetland landscape background. Golden Black-Eyed-Susans, magenta Sweet Peas, and russet Cattails accent the colors of the irises, along with thick, textured grasses in shades of pine green, blue-green, and gold. Painted with oil over casein paint. Includes a lively variety of paint textures and techniques including running, dripping, glazing, splattering, and palette knife for a landscape piece with energy and modern flair.

Painting extends around the sides of the wrapped canvas so it requires no frame, but may be framed if desired.
