Original artwork description:

"Jael. Kill him with kindness", 2021

"An ordinary civilian woman commits a murder of an exhausted sleeping solder from an allied folk, deceiving him first with hospitality. Was it self-defense or a dignity protection act, revenge for something personal, accumulated stress from life in endless war state and thus worn out empathy... or some kind strike of insanity?"

Expressive portrait painting inspired by the Book of Judges 4 17:22.

Size H90 x W60 x D4 (in cm)
Oil and acrylic on stretched canvas
Coated with semi-gloss varnish
Unframed, edges are sealed and painted
Ready to hang
Main colors: black, shades of grey, dark golden, bronze
Origin and dispatch from Finland/EU

All materials are of professional artistic quality.

I often use OSB wooden panels for a base and pre-texture the canvases for my paintings with a modelling paste. I love textures and rougher ones allow me to enhance the message and better transmit the emotions I portray.

Please note:
- the colors of the painting in life may slightly vary from the photo due to lighting sources or monitor settings.
- the parcel will be sent from Finland. Should you have given the delivery address in one of the European Union countries, there will be no extra local charges upon delivery. If the parcel leaves for a destination outside the EU, such as e.g. the USA or the UK, the recipient may need to declare the painting and pay some local VAT and customs duties.
- all my paintings are inspected before the dispatch and professionally packaged for safe travel to your destination.

Materials used:

Cotton canvas of artistic quality on stretcher frames

About
The faces and stories on my portrait paintings are all me and my doubts in the end. Sometimes imbalanced, imperfect, provocative and boycotting, but always sincere and inviting a re-thinking... Read more
