Birds of the crow family all have a slightly sinister look, and I have tried to capture that look in this painting of a jackdaw. The black and dark grey colouring of the feathers, the piercing eye and the dark background all add to the malevolence._x000D_ I live next door to a farm with dilapidated stone barns that house many jackdaws, and they certainly can be quite cruel the the small garden birds. However, I like to see them sitting together in pairs on the power lines in the springtime behaving very affectionately towards each other._x000D_ This small painting can be hung or will stand on a shelf.
