Streets lined with Jacarandas are beautiful.
Australian streets are awash with the magnificent purple-blue blooms of jacarandas in late spring and early summer.
When I lived in Sydney, and was returning to the city from the west – from the freeway many suburbs were a beautiful carpet of purple.
Jacarandas, have been steadily growing in Australia for over 150 years, but despite this, are not native to Australia, but are native to south-central South America
However, my father constantly complained about the messy lavender blue leaves everywhere - on the lawn, driveway, foot path, car, etc.
