This bronze sculpture tells the story of how disadvantaged Jabez had his immense breakthrough and becoming highly respected. You may view a detailed display in how the SHAPE of this 3-D work relates to its CONTENT at my website. Its an ancient story hidden away in the first book of Chronicles, chapter 4, verses 9 and 10.
The Jabez series was initiated by a commission on this subject. I have made three of them, each distinct in style. Jabez II is here available as a bronze cast, limited to SIX 'artist originals', each unique in patina. They are numbered with Romance capitals; the number being engraved at the base of the statue and a certificate goes along with it as well. In general I have agreed that only those six casts will ever be made from each of my master plaster/terracotta 3-D art works.
This sculpture has fetched an award in 2005. Viewing a sculpture like this will be a constant reminder of it's positive content. Please take as well a look into the open edition prints to imagine how a sculpture like this will fit into your home.
