Original artwork description:

A painting inspired and created on long distance hikes in the Pyrénéan mountain range that forms the border between France and Spain. The region is rich with wildlife,including Bears,Vultures,Eagles and Otters etc etc. The scenery is sublime and an artists paradise for inspiration.
Izard are of the Goat family so are very agile in the rugged mountainous terrain. They are timid creatures,living betwween 2500 - 10000 ft,but will come down to lower altitudes during the Winter months. They live in herds.
This painting was created from my own reference photos taken over a period of 6 months when I patiently photographed these most beautiful creatures in their natural environment.
