Original artwork description:

A wise person once told me, " Remember! When someone points the finger at you, there's 3 pointing right back at them ".

I have had experiences with people in the past who would go out their way to make you feel like you were the issue but, really it was them all along who had the problem. With hindsight it is as clear as day but, when you are in the moment you don't always realize it.

This series is called 'It's not me, it's you'. There are 3 in the series, each person has a spotlight on them representing the moment you are made to feel a certain way and that it's about you, but lingering in the dark space is the person with the real problem.

furthermore, I was inspired to have the portraits in this series have similarities to a court jester because their job was to make people look at them and laugh but, were also pointed at and made fun of.
