Original artwork description:

Up in the mountains of the Marches region of Italy, autumn comes in the form of windy weather and thunderstorms over the mountains and the fields that have been burnt brown in the summer sun. On one of those days, I perched my easel at a vantage point to portray the angry sky over the Appennines and later, I had to finish the painting undercover of the veranda as the rain started. Using warm colours for the foreground and cool colours in the distance, I have set out to portray how the two seasons meet.

This original plein air watercolour painting comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

600g Hahnemühle, 100% cotton rag, rough, mould-made paper, Windsor and Newton watercolour paints
