It could have been very different and it started off nothing like how it ended up. This painting is an experiment in less is more, but of course even more is required to create less.
The painting can hang any which way and was worked on from all angles.
The idea of what could have been then starts to work on too many levels, hence the idea to paint over and scrape back. I feel that I cannot stand carefulness, it has to be some brute energy or nothing. I can do carefulness and precision but it somehow upsets me and will never be right.
