Original artwork description:

“Isolation” is an ethereal abstract seascape oil on canvas painting 60cm x 60cm (24 x 24 inches) on 4cm (1.5 inch) deep canvas.
It’s inspired by staring at the sea in Hastings during the lockdown on a perfect Summers day when everything was calm and still. The title is from the song “Isolation” by Joy Division.

I moved to Hastings from London in April and I have actually enjoyed the peace of lockdown. I’ve found it a very reflective time and a good opportunity for reevaluation and a fresh start. I find my new town incredibly inspiring and I have been painting in my garden studio where I have a fantastic view of the sea and I can watch the changing colours on the water. Recently I have been exploring simplicity and calm in my work as I contemplate my new horizons during the pandemic.

It's painted in shades of blue and white . The paint is layered and blended and has a slight glossy sheen The painting continues around the sides of the canvas and it is signed on the back. It is ready to hang and come with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity.

Shipping is free in the UK and very quick, the painting should arrive within 48 hours of despatch.

(Please note the in situ images are not to scale but hopefully they give an good idea of how the painting will look in a modern interior.)
