Original artwork description:
Isola Verde, preseason, 2, oil on canvas, 38 x 55cm. We walked the same way back, with the only difference of the gate being closed now. Completely shut, and none of the workers was left. They managed to lock me out. Or they are just as diligent as workers back home, strictly sticking to their lunch-times. The gate was about 1,80m high and the connecting fence just a few centimeters smaller. There was no way of carrying Gina over it. I checked whether I could find a way through the fence. Nothing. When looking for an option I found a piece of loose wire. I used it to open up a hole in the fence. After going through the fence, I bended it back into its initial position before we left the island through the radicchio plants.
