Original artwork description:

Isola Verde, Preseason, 1. Oil on canvas, 38 x 55 cm. On the lookout for calm picturesque places, I shouldn´t be surprised when I end up in lettuce plantations. It was the week before Easter and the small island was marked with signs that were related to bathing and camping during summer. A number of holiday bungalows, separated by fences and asphalted walkways lead to the beach. A bunch of men were cleaning the terrace with a water hose. Together with Gina I walked through one of the open gates and asked loudly for the permission to pass. The men waved us through with a friendly smile. Gina went into the water while I tested the water temperature with my right foot, quickly pulling back after first contact.
