Occasionally I like to work in a watercolour-like way with Black Indian Ink and a Squirrel Hair brush. I like to create expressive monotone paintings, the simplification to black and white gives an air of sophistication!
Here, I have tried to depict the feel of the Isles of Scilly and the rugged-ness of the shoreline. I forget exactly in which this spot this was painted on the small archipeligo off the Cornish coast. Painted on a subtle blue-grey watercolour paper.
