Above the ridge,
Soothing and uplifting colours,
Amber gold, ultra violet, orange, blues,
Pine treetop's illuminated,

Words and feelings of one of my favourite landscapes in Dorset.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200lb . This is a painting I went back over with more enhancement of colours and created a hill line on damp paper using my sable hair brush. I used the same brush to bring out the pine trees using a combination of ultra marine and orange.
I have explored this area many times and feel such a connection with nature.
