Simply. Weather. Atmospheres. The noise of the sanderlings and the smell of salt and kelp. All the things conjured in the mind of Paul when painting Islay Spindrift from memory and intuition. He has lived and breathed the UK Island coastal life on so many visits, windsurfing, kitesurfing and just sketching and observing these wonderful coastlines. At a metre square painted in acrylic and structure pastes for texture, it has an immense presence on the wall.
