This mixed media artwork is inspired by the tiny islands that sit at the mouth of the Dee Estuary. This small goup of tidal islands are called Little Eye, Middle Eye and the largest island Hilbre. This painting is inspired by islands on a warm summer day. The Islands are cut off from the mainland by the tide for up to four hours out of every twelve. Strong winds can bring the tide in early.
The painting has lots of texture and interesting marks. The sides are painted so no need for framing and the work is sealed with a matt acrylic varnish. It has been signed on the side and fitted with chord ready to hang.
